CISSE: I KNOW WARRIORS

SENEGAL coach Aliou Cisse says tonight he comes face to face with a team he has been studying for a long time.

While Algeria and Tunisia media showed they knew nothing about the Warriors ahead of the game drawn 2-2 at Stade de Franceville, it is not the same with Senegal.

Cisse says he was not surprised when the Warriors performance shocked the highly-rated Algerian team.

Instead, that has given them an insight on how they could approach the game.

“Yes we know them very well and we believe we can match them and try to win the game.

“We have 16 teams here at AFCON that are very good. They are one of those teams.

“I’m not surprised because I have been looking at this Zimbabwean side for a long time, how they play.

We are prepared for the game and hoping for a favourable result,” said Cisse.

The Warriors were expected to hold their last training under floodlights last night.

Tonight however, they go into the match a changed side, with talisman Knowledge Musona ruled out through injury.

With Pasuwa indicating at a press conference that the strength of the Senegalese does not allow them to rely on long balls, chances are high he will introduce Marvelous Nakamba who is good at keeping ball possession.

Nakamba was suspended for the first game.

And if he keeps both Willard Katsande and Danny “Deco” Phiri in the same set-up, Khama Billiat could be forced to play wide on the right or left while Kuda Mahachi will be on the other wing.

Striker Nyasha Mushekwi is expected to retain his place in the team as the target man.

Among the strikers Pasuwa has other options in the likes of Tendai Ndoro, Mathew Rusike, Evans Rusike, Cuthbert Malajila and Tino Kadewere.
