Gospel diva, Amanda Sagonda’s property has been attached by the Messenger of Court.
The gospel musician is allegedly owing about US$5 000 in rental arrears.
Her husband, Tinashe Machimbira confirmed the incident.
“I can confirm that indeed some of our property was attached by the Messenger of Court at our place. This is because of alleged outstanding rentals. I have not yet seen the papers but I have been told that it’s a figure of about US$5 000.
“We are however, not the lease holders as we are just tenants. Our legal team is working on the issue and they have reassured us that we are likely to win the case because of the technicalities,” said Machimbira.
The attached property includes a television set, sofas, tables and chairs.
This incident has happened barely a week after Sagonda was dragged to court for allegedly assaulting a 10-year-old child.
The matter was however withdrawn at the instance of the complainant.
