LEADING Radio and TV talk show host, Ruvheneko Parirenyatwa, will on Thursday break new ground with the launch of the election debates ahead of the 2018 Harmonised polls.
The live debates will be on various platforms, the main being her Facebook.
With the hashtag ZED2018, the Zimbabwe Election Debates 2018 will feature aspiring legislators who want seats as Members of Parliament and candidates who want the highest office in the land as President.
All things being equal, the inaugural show on Thursday will pit ABISHA USHEWOKUNZE, LLOYD MASIYA, OBERT GUTU and TEMBA MLISWA as they discuss the biometric voter registration, commonly referred to as BVR.
Ushewokunze is the ZANU-PF Harare provincial secretary for information and publicity, Masiya is the national youth chair for National People’s Party, Mliswa is the independent Member of Parliament for Norton who is also the leader of Youth Advocacy for Reform and Democracy (Yard) while Gutu is the spokesman for MDC-T.
Inspired to lead the way, Ruvheneko says:
“As we build up to Zimbabwe’s 2018 elections, the Zimbabwean electorate needs to be convinced why their vote is needed and why a candidate deserves it.”
