3 dead, several injured as Binga-bound bus ploughs into trees

BULAWAYO – At least three people died and dozens others were injured after a bus careered off the road and mowed down trees near Insuza on the Bulawayo-Victoria Falls road on Friday.
The cause of the accident, at around 10AM, is being investigated by police.

The Supreme Coaches bus was travelling to Dongamuzi in Lusulu, Binga district, when it left the road.

Matabeleland North police spokesperson Inspector Glory Bhanda said she was in Harare, and her deputy Namatirai Mashona was not reachable to share details about the accident.

A motorist who passed through the accident scene, some 20km out of Insuza, said three people had died at the scene and several others were injured.
