President Mnangagwa is today expected to commission the Greenfields Retail Centre in Harare, marking another significant milestone in the growth of Zimbabwe’s retail, real estate and commercial sector in line with National Development Strategy 2.
The new retail mall is expected to enhance convenience for residents, create employment opportunities, and stimulate local economic activity and growth, thus contributing to the country’s Gross Domestic Product.
The spacious area located near the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show comprises retail outlets, fast foods, banking facilities and mobile service providers, among other facilities.
The Retail Mall is part of Zimbabwe’s retail sector development agenda, offering modern facilities.
It is a public private parthership between the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show and a consortium of private investors.
It is a part of commercial real estate development whose key thrust is to offer modern retail facilities by attracting potential investors in different sectors of the economy.
It also dovetails with the Government’s thrust of a private sector-led economy through the formalisation of economic activities.
