MUTARE – A man allegedly shot his wife, sister-in-law and a shopkeeper on Independence Day in Chimanimani in what police are describing as a “domestic dispute.
Francis Makuma Magirayano, 30, who lives in South Africa, has so far evaded arrest, police said on Sunday as they made a public appeal for information.
Magirayano faces three counts of attempted murder, with the three victims still receiving treatment at Chipinge District Hospital.
Magirayano allegedly shot his 26-year-old wife Mercyline Mahembe three times on the cheek, hand and thigh at Kopa Business Centre. The other two victims were each shot on the leg.
Police did not reveal details of the “domestic dispute” which led to the shootings.
Magirayano recently returned from South Africa and was last seen driving a silver Toyota Fortuner, registration JV70 SM GP.
