NO one succumbed to Covid-19 on Tuesday as the country recorded 132 cases in the last 24-hour reporting period.
Zimbabwe has so far recorded 246 744 cases, 5 451 deaths and 239 055 recoveries.
The national recovery rate remains at 97 percent and active cases go down to 2 238.
11 of the new cases were detected in schools in Mashonaland West (5), Bulawayo (4) and Manicaland (2) provinces.
The vaccination programme is continuing countrywide with 5 585 115 people having received their first dose, 3 569 933 receiving their second dose while 476 781 receiving their third dose.
A total of 26 570 received their first jab yesterday, 2 740 received their second jab while 8 017 received their third jab.
As of April 04, 2022, at 3 PM there were 18 people that were hospitalized with two new admissions. One person was admitted in Intensive Care Units, while 15 people had mild to moderate symptoms. Two people were asymptomatic and no one had severe symptoms.
Seven of the 18 hospitalized were vaccinated and 11 were not vaccinated.
Matabeleland North recorded the highest number of cases, followed by Mashonaland East with 27 new cases.
Midlands recorded 22 new cases followed by Bulawayo which recorded 14 new cases.
Mashonaland West had 13 cases while Harare had nine new cases.
Mashonaland Central recorded five new cases.
Masvingo recorded seven new cases while Manicaland recorded four new cases.
Matabeleland South recorded the least number of cases.
