Man’s body found floating in Mazowe River after row over sex worker

MUREWA – A man’s body was found floating in Mazowe River on Thursday with initial police investigations indicating the 25-year-old was murdered over a sex worker.

Police confirmed the incident through their official X handle on Friday.

Said the ZRP in the post, “Police in Murewa are investigating a case of murder in which the body of Taurai Sahanya, 25, was found floating in Mazowe River on 5 December 2024 near Copa Cabana Business Centre.

“The victim had bruises on the hands, deformed forehead and swollen left eye.

“Police investigations have so far established that the victim was attacked by Magejeni Shelton and two other unknown suspects after an argument over a sex worker.”

Police appealed for information from members of the public who may know something about the crime.
