BULAWAYO – Police in Bulawayo have launched an investigation into a case of unlawful entry and theft in which suspects stole a Chubb safe containing US$10,569 from a company in Kelvin West.
The burglary, according to police, occurred on Monday night.
Police confirmed in their official X handle that the suspects broke into the company cash office through the window.
The thieves stole a Chubb safe containing US$10,569 and loaded the heavy object onto a Jack trolley and fled the scene.
On Tuesday, officers tracked trolley marks to a stream bank near a beer outlet in Tshabalala, where they recovered the safe and the cash, police said.
Police have not yet made any arrests following the incident.
