Sabau reportedly succumbed to the injuries while admitted at Concession Hospital.

School headmaster Thorpe Nyamukuvheni confirmed the incident.

Mashonaland Central police spokesperson Inspector Milton Mundembe could not give details saying he was attending a funeral while national police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi said he was yet to be briefed on the incident.

A witness to the accident said the police driver first struck the bike rider before his vehicle hit the teacher.
