Scottland announce double capture of Knowledge Musona and Mafios Chihweta
HARARE — Title-chasing Scottland on Monday announced the double capture of former Zimbabwe
captain Knowledge Musona and Highlanders speedy winger Mafios Chihweta.
Scottland said the 35-year-old Musona, who was paraded at halftime during their 1-0 victory over Yadah at Rufaro, “will end his playing career at Scottland.” Musona joined as a free agent following his release from Saudi Pro League side Al-Okhdood at the end of the 2024–25 season.
Musona will line up for the club alongside his younger brother Walter Musona.
Scottland also announced the capture of Highlanders dribbling wizard Chihweta, who tormented their defenders in a match they went on to win 2-1 a fortnight ago.
The terms of Chihweta’s transfer from Highlanders and length of contract with the Harare side were not disclosed.
Scottland are second in the Premier Soccer League title race and will now be red-hot favourites to go on and triumph with 11 matches still to play.
