BULAWAYO- Highlanders sacked coach Kelvin Kaindu on Monday, ending his third spell with the club.
A club statement said the decision had been “necessitated by the recent streak of unsatisfactory results.
Kaindu was appointed coach in December 2023 and finished eighth in his first season.
With the 2025 Premier League title race at the halfway stage, Highlanders find themselves ninth with just five wins from 17 matches, 12 points behind leaders Simba Bhora. They have drawn eight and lost four.
Kaindu’s former assistant Try Ncube will take temporary charge assisted by Agent Sawu, another member of the backroom staff.
“The club wishes coach Kaindu the best in his future endeavours and thanks him for his contribution during his time of service,” the club added.
Kaindu played for Highlanders in 1997 before returning as coach from 2012 until 2014.
