HARARE – Zimbabwe’s annual inflation accelerated to 175.8 percent in June, up from 86.5 percent in May, the Zimbabwe Statistics Agency (Zimstat) has reported. The increase is against the backdrop of a recent surge in prices of goods and services. “The year-on-year inflation rate (annual percentage) for the month of June 2023 as measured by all items Consumer Price Index (CPI) was 17.8 percent.
