ZIMSEC releases 2025 Grade 7 results, pass rate dips slightly to 48.49 percent

HARARE – The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) on Friday announced the release of the 2025 Grade Seven Examination results.

The results will be accessible from the ZIMSEC website for four days, after which candidates must collect their results from their examination centres.

A total 389,626 candidates sat for six subjects in the 2025 session. Of that number, 188,930 passed all six, giving a national pass rate of 48.49 percent, ZIMSEC said in a statement.

The performance reflects a 0.52 percent decline from the 2024 national pass rate of 49.01 percent.

Primary and Secondary Education minister Torerayi Moyo said: “This marks the third consecutive year that our national examinations have been conducted and concluded without any leakages a testament to the ministry’s unwavering commitment to upholding the integrity of our education system.”
