HARARE – An Airforce of Zimbabwe officer appeared before a Harare magistrate Thursday accused of fondling and sucking the breast of his workmate’s minor daughter.
Rekai Ndondodzani, 47, a Warrant Officer Class 1, faces indecent assault.
He was not asked to plead and was released on ZW$20 000 bail.
The complainant is a Grade 7 pupil at Manyame Airbase Primary School.
Court heard the parties are neighbours.
The State alleges that on October 19, 2022 at around 0900hrs, the minor went to Ndondodzani’s home intending to see her friend who happens to be his daughter.
She found Ndondodzani sitting in the dining room and she greeted him but he instead requested a handshake from the minor.
Court heard Ndondodzani also requested to lift the complainant up but she denied.
He then allegedly stood up and cuddled her from the back but she pushed him away.
The state alleges that the accused person went on to hold complainant’s legs and managed to lift her up after which he started sucking her right breast.
The complainant then jumped off from Ndondodzani’s hands and went to where her friend was bathing.
Whilst going out of the house, she passed through the sitting room where the suspect was still seated.
The girl went home and narrated her experience to her mother who, together with her husband, helped the minor file a police report.
