THE Guni brothers, musicians Nox and Tyfah are the most sought-after in the country, something that has seen them extend their nationwide tour to accommodate fans from all of the country’s corners.
The South Africa-based duo embarked on a local tour that started in May and has performed in places that include their hometown Masvingo, Harare, Bindura, Beitbridge and Bulawayo thus far.
Dubbed the “Zaka Prince Nox and Tyfah Zim tour”, the tour was supposed to end last week, but it has been extended with a show taking place in Kwekwe last night.
There are possibilities of more shows to be held next week with the duo citing that they are getting bookings on a daily basis.
Said Nox: “I feel like I’ve achieved what I wanted to which was to come back to the country and perform for the people. I wanted to make them understand that even though I’m based in South Africa, I’m a proud Zimbo who makes music for his people.
“Our local tour has been a resounding success and we’re getting more bookings. As such, we’ll be having another national tour in September when I launch my album in every province.
“It’s been an amazing journey to reach the grassroots level and it was mind-blowing to see how much they love our music.” – @mthabisi_mthire
