President Emmerson Mnangagwa has granted businessman Wicknell Chivayo provincial hero status, Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training Minister Tino Machakaire has announced.
Minister Machakaire made this announcement at Chivayo’s family home in Gletwin this evening.
He said the conferment of the honour recognises Chivayo’s contribution to society.
Chivayo died alongside his wife, Lucy Muteke, and three others in a helicopter crash in Marondera on Wednesday.
