BULAWAYO – A 19-year-old Matobo man faces murder after a savage knife attack on a 22-year-old man who had confronted him over claims he was proposing love to a 15-year-old niece to the now deceased.
Police confirmed the incident which happened on Saturday.
“Police in Matobo have arrested Raisemore Maseko, 19, in connection with a case of murder in which he stabbed Phikisani Moyo, 22, with a knife on the neck, back and stomach after an argument on 27 April 2024 at Halale Village.
“The suspect had proposed love to the victim’s nephew, 15,” police said in a statement on Sunday
The incident follows several more murder cases involving both teenage victims and perpetrators in the country.
